Josie's
efforts were encouraged throughout by her Sales Manager, Pat Tennyson, who
also acted as her Assessor.
The whole enterprise was underpinned enthusiastically by Lisa Brice, who
not only supported Josie and Pat as PPC's Internal Verifier, but
also trained and assessed Pat for her to achieve her Vocational Assessor
award (D32/D33).
HOME INSPECTORS' VRQ
PPC
is an existing Assessment Centre for ABBE (the Awarding Body for the Built
Environment) which is the preferred Awarding Body for the delivery of the
Home Inspectors' VRQ (Vocationally Related Qualification). Achieving
this qualification will be a prerequisite to obtaining a licence to carry
out Home Condition Reports as part of the Government's impending Reform of
the Home-buying Process.
PPC
will be applying to extend the scope of qualifications that it is accredited
to offer through ABBE to include this important new qualification.
CPD SEMINARS
PPC has just launched its latest series of CPD seminars at venues in the North of England
(CPD Seminars): the programme is still formative and the first sessions are
focused upon APC/ATC candidates preparing written submissions, revising and
preparing for their interviews. Further seminars will be listed later
and will continue into the Spring and Summer of 2004.
TRAINING IN PLANNING FOR
COUNCILLORS
PPC is also offering seminars and workshops under
a programme of 'TRAINING
IN PLANNING FOR COUNSELLORS' to address the requirements of the Nolan Committee Report
on Standards in Public Life. These seminars will bring councillors and others up-to-date
with the planning process and reaffirm the legal roles and responsibilities of
councillors in particular.
Additional courses are available for officers and all courses are
tailored to meet the specific needs of clients.
IN-HOUSE TRAINING
PPC is keen to develop more 'in-house' activities with
organisation. This approach means that topics and styles of delivery can be tailored to
suit each client company as opposed to the generic programmes that form the basis of the
main CPD programmes.
