The Property Professional's Consultancy (PPC) was established in 1993 as an independent training agency offering training and development in general but, as the name suggests, specialising in the property sector.

• an OCR Assessment Centre for the delivery of the Sale of Residential Property NVQs
  
 
• an ABBE Assessment Centre for the delivery of NVQs in Surveying Support, Valuation, Property Management, Town Planning and Property & Care-taking Supervision
  
 
• a National New Homes Association Assessment Centre for the delivery of 'Selling New Homes' VQ 
 

The Personnel

Ron Harland FRICS FNAEA MCIPD

Ron is a General Practice Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years experience as a practitioner. Like many, he started his career with the DV/VO where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor before entering private practice in 1977. He moved into training in 1989 as Regional Training Manager for Halifax Estate Agencies Ltd, designing and delivering training at all levels, before establishing PPC in 1993. In addition to training and CPD seminars, Ron's work includes developing and writing open learning material.

As well as being a Chartered Surveyor, Ron is also a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. He is OCR's Chief Verifier for Residential Estate Agency NVQs, Chief Verifier for ABBE and a Specialist Advisor to UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service).

Samantha Hambly - It is with with enormous regret and immeasurable sadness that Sammy, Ron's partner and wife for 19 years, died on 22nd May 2004 - see SAMMY HAMBLY for details of the tribute given at her funeral service.

Sammy was an experienced Trainer and Assessor in Administration and Information Technology NVQs.  She had achieved a City & Guilds Further & Adult Education Teacher's Certificate (TDLB NVQ Level 4) in addition to an HND in Business & Finance at the University of Northumbria at Newcastle.

Like Ron, Sammy had worked in estate agency as a valuer and negotiator but she also worked as an Office Manager for various firms of solicitors where she gained experience of conveyancing and court work.
