Decision-making
in the Planning Committee
This
session deals with the planning system as it affects individual authorities
and the key aspects that must be taken into account when making planning
decisions. The emphasis is on developing a structured approach to
decision-making that reflects the 'plan-led' system that exists and the new
requirement to justify all decisions and give good reasons for refusals
especially when appeals can result in awards of costs.
